You never know when you MIGHT need the extra power. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great investment though. The Hypervolt 2 Pro is pretty powerful, and while it can be used by anyone, the majority of users probably won’t ever need the top speeds. Who is the Hypervolt 2 Pro most suitable for? The weight is reduced from 3lbs to 2.6lbs – not a huge difference, but even a small reduction in weight makes the device easier to use. Bluetooth connectivity is the same – connect to the Hyperice app for automated speed control.īattery life is now slightly longer with 3 hours of usage rather than the 2.5 hours of the older model. The Plus had just 3 percussion speeds and wasn’t quite as powerful. It has a new digital dial that delivers 5 variable percussion speeds. The pill-shaped handle is more comfortable to hold, and the upgraded design makes it stand out from all the many Hypervolt knockoffs that are on the market right now. But what’s different? And does it warrant spending an extra $70? The main difference here is the new design. What’s new (vs last year’s model)? Hypervolt 2 Pro vs Hypervolt Plusīeing the current most powerful model (and the most expensive) this is an upgrade of last year’s Hypervolt Plus. Personally, I’d prefer a case that holds everything together – the device, the attachments, and the power supply adapters. They do now include a carrying pouch for the head attachments, which is something. If you want one you can buy it separately though (about $30-$40). Hyperice has never included a carrying case for their products. It’s TSA approved for carry on so carry it on a plane when you’re flying (it has international adapters too). As with any warranty though, there are exclusions. It has a 1-year warranty – if it fails within 1 year of the date of purchase (due to workmanship or defects) they will repair or replace your massage gun free of charge. This is particularly useful as most people don’t get the most out of their massagers when they don’t know how to use them properly. You don’t have to guess how to use your massage gun because you get all the instructions and guidance you need. It really isn’t worth paying an extra $200 for an extra 2mm though (particularly seeing as the majority of users wouldn’t need that depth). Seeing as the average is about 10-12mm, that’s pretty good, although not as high as the Theragun Pro’s 16mm. This is the stroke length, or how deep the massage gun head gets into the muscle.
